Marsh Grass sets bold vertical bands of colour against delicate, organic mark-making. A band of blue anchors the left edge, meeting a line of vermilion red and a dark, moody void above. Lower right, ochre, burnt orange and cobalt fields carry fine calligraphic marks, like shoots of grass pushing through the earth.
