Marks on the Marsh shows a sharp vertical line that splits the flat blue sky from a textured, moody landscape. Forest green, raw sienna, ochre and lilac sweep across the right, with flashes of cadmium red beneath the surface. Etched marks and black dashes suggest marsh grass bending at the water's edge.
